About Tom

Tom Richert helps leaders design environments where people and performance thrive.

He is a frequent speaker, facilitator, and university guest lecturer on topics of collaboration, cultural health, and organizational performance. His work connects ideas from Lean management, systems thinking, and the design of the built environment to create conditions where teams learn faster and deliver better results.

Tom’s understanding of collaboration and productivity grew from two decades leading design and construction teams. His project management experience ranges from organizing a power-tool rental startup to guiding the development of multi-billion-dollar infrastructure systems. Those experiences revealed a clear truth: sustainable performance arises not from tools or procedures, but from purpose-driven, aligned, and collaborative environments.

Today, Tom works with leaders who want to build those environments—linking purpose, culture, and system design to measurable improvements in trust, flow, and results. His guidance has benefited organizations including Connecticut Children’s, Maine Medical Center, Mass General Brigham, Oregon Health & Science University, Cleveland Clinic, Turner Construction Company, the Lean Construction Institute, the University of Massachusetts, and DPR Construction.

Tom lives outside Boston with his wife. Their daughter studies stage management at Ithaca College.
